Cisco Optics Podcast Episode 23. Methods to Make Coherent Optics Small and Pluggable, with Tom Williams. Half 4 of 5.

Coherent optics have been the go-to answer for high-end optical transport techniques for years. Finally, these optics have been modularized and with current advances in DSP design and optics manufacturing, this expertise is now accessible in small kind issue pluggable modules. Cisco acknowledged the significance of this expertise and bought the trade’s chief on this house, Acacia Communications in March of 2021.
